CollaborateMD v10 removes the need for Java entirely as it is accessed via a web browser. If you wish to use CollaborateMD v9.6 then follow the instructions below to determine which version of Java to use, download and install. CollaborateMD will no longer support Java related issues including installation problems when using v9.6.
If you already have a version of Java installed on your computer that is at least 8 or higher, you can proceed with the installation of CollaborateMD. You will need a 64-bit version of Java to run the latest version of CollaborateMD. To determine what version and what type of Java that you have installed, follow these procedures:
CollaborateMD v9.6 requires a version of Java to be installed on your computer. Oracle, the owner of Java, has made a major change on how it will license the use of Java. Effective January 2019, public updates for business, commercial or production use of Oracle Java SE will require a paid commercial license subscription. Additional details about this change can be found in the links at the bottom of this page. You will need to work with your Information Technology (IT) department or responsible individual to determine which version of Java is best for your business. Your options for using Java include the following:

Please note 32-bit Windows Operating Systems are no longer supported. You will be responsible for installing and configuring Java manually.
