CollaborateMD (CMD), a leading provider of innovative and intelligent cloud-based revenue cycle management solutions, was named for the fifth time by Inc. magazine to the annual Inc. 5000 – a list of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the U.S.

"We are honored to be recognized by Inc. magazine for the fifth time," said Darrell Turner, President and COO of CollaborateMD. "Our growth is a result of our continued achievement in improving the financial and operational success of medical offices and billing services across the country."

CollaborateMD was founded in 1999 by CollaborateMD CEO, Douglas Kegler, who started designing and creating commercial software before graduating college in 1990. Examples of the software included:

  • a dental billing and management program for Alden Family Dentistry and
  • a subscription billing program for the Alden Advertiser.

After graduating from Fredonia State University of New York with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mr. Kegler worked as a software engineer at various organizations including Lockheed Martin and FedEx. In the late 1990's, Mr. Kegler would harness the power and flexibility of the Internet to create a more efficient medical billing and practice management solution for the medical community. Based on Mr. Kegler's vision, CollaborateMD has become a leading provider of innovative and intelligent healthcare billing solutions for thousands of medical providers across the United States.

"I want to thank all of our awesome customers, without whom we would not be on the Inc. 5000 list," said Douglas Kegler, founder and CEO of CollaborateMD. "I also want to thank the incredible group of dedicated and talented CollaborateMD family members I am lucky to work alongside. Our CollaborateMD family is committed to continued growth that ensures our customers remain happy and successful."
