The American Medical Association (AMA) and 91 specialty societies are in disagreement with the government’s proposed new rule on electronic prescribing in comments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). They believe that CMS’ latest proposal, which amounts to a partial pullback on penalties for physicians who haven’t started e-prescribing, doesn’t go far enough.
