RediClinic In-Store Health Clinics To Utilize ClaimGear To
Process Healthcare Transactions
(Orlando, FL – Sep. 15, 2006) - XGear Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of Internet-based ASP practice management and medical billing software for the healthcare industry, announced today that it will process insurance healthcare transactions for RediClinic, a national chain of in-store health clinics through its ClaimGear system.
A reputable medical billing service client of XGear Technologies has signed an agreement with RediClinic in-store health clinics to handle all aspects of insurance and patient billing. XGear interfaced their ClaimGear system with the clinics electronic medical record system to provide automatic delivery of all patient and claim data directly into the ClaimGear system. Once the data is in the ClaimGear system the billing service will review the data for accuracy. After the data is approved, the insurance claims will be sent on to the Payer by XGear. XGear will also provide the clinics with real-time patient eligibility checks, electronic remittance advice, and electronic patient statements.
The RediClinic in-store health clinics are staffed by certified nurse practitioners who work with local physicians to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications for common medical conditions, such as strep throat and upper respiratory infections. They also administer a wide range of preventive services, including health screenings, medical tests, vaccinations, and basic physical exams. The clinics are open seven days a week and offer extended hours on weekdays. The in-store clinics are opening and operating nationwide in Wal-Mart, Walgreens, H-E-B, and Duane Reade.
“We are all very excited to be handling the healthcare transactions for this national chain of in-store health clinics”, commented Douglas Kegler, Chief Executive Officer of XGear Technologies. “This great news comes on the heels of another great year for us with the 6th consecutive year of double digit growth.”
The combination of our Internet-based ClaimGear system with our billing service client will provide an efficient, reliable, and cost effective solution for the in-store clinics. There are currently a dozen in-store clinics processing transactions through ClaimGear and that number is expected to grow to 145 by the end of 2007 and to 500 by 2009.
