Upcoming Payer Conversion for North Carolina Medicaid
CollaborateMD Blog
The clearinghouse would like to inform providers of the upcoming conversion of North Carolina Medicaid (NCCAID) to the NCTracks System on July 1, 2013. To prepare for the conversion, the payer will be performing maintenance from 11:00 PM CT on 6/29/2013 to 5:00 AM CT on 7/1/2013. The clearinghouse recommends not submitting eligibility transactions during this time frame as the transactions may reject.

New Providers:
Enrollment will now be required and new providers will need to complete an agreement going forward. To access the new agreement form, go to http://collaborationcompass.com, click Payer, and Payer Agreements Library. As part of the enrollment process, new providers must register in NCTracks (http://www.nctracks.nc.gov/) and select RELAYHEALTH as their Billing Agent.

Existing Providers:
Existing providers do not need to complete the agreement, but must register in NCTracks and indicate RELAYHEALTH as the Billing Agent for Eligibility transactions on 7/1/2013. Prior to 7/1/2013, providers are only allowed to enter a single Billing Agent for all transactions (claims, remit, etc). Letters will be sent to providers by the payer with instructions for updating Billing Agents.

Action Required: Providers must register in NCTracks indicating "RELAYHEALTH" as the Billing Agent on 7/1/2013 to avoid transaction processing delays.
