Senate Passes ICD-10 Delay / Doc Fix Bill
CollaborateMD Blog

On March 31, 2014, by a vote of 64 to 35, the U.S. Senate approved legislation that includes a provision to delay scheduled cuts in physician payments under Medicare and move the switch to ICD-10 billing codes to October 1, 2015.

Although the implementation of ICD-10 will be delayed until 2015, CollaborateMD and RelayHealth will continue to test with all payers offering full end to end testing between now and October 1, 2015 – the new Go Live Date.

Don’t let the new deadline allow you to put off your ICD-10 implementation plan. A successful transition will ensure you are able to use the ICD-10 codes on the compliance date and will help you avoid rejected claims and cash flow interruptions.

Additional communications regarding ICD-10 updates and future testing results will continue to be sent to keep you up to date.
