Orlando United Day – a Day of Love and Kindness
CollaborateMD Blog

One year ago today our home community here in Orlando, FL received the heartbreaking news of the Pulse Nightclub shooting. It was a dark day for a city that prides itself on celebrating diversity and community, but what makes us even more proud is the way that our city came together in light of this senseless tragedy.

The City of Orlando has designated June 12th as “Orlando United Day- a Day of Love and Kindness” to honor the memory of the 49 victims and support the survivors. All of us here at CollaborateMD send our love to those who have been affected, and are participating in this “Day of Love and Kindness” in order to honor the victims, survivors, and their loved ones.

If you would like to participate but don’t know how, please see the One Orlando Alliance’s #ActLoveGive campaign website, as well as “49 Acts of Kindness”. On the “49 Acts of Kindness” website, the parents of the 49 victims have shared ways in which they believe their loved ones can be honored by spreading love and kindness not only today, but every day.

Thank you for joining us in honoring our city of Orlando.
