Invalid Error Message for CPID 1896 and 8599 HIP - Health Insurance Plan of Greater NY

Due to a payer processing issue, Professional and Institutional claims for the payer listed below may have received the following invalid error message on the Payer Claim Data Report (SR), Payor Claim Data Report (SE), and Payor Report Data File (SF):

• CLAIM SUBMITTED TO INCORRECT CARRIER
• ACK/FORWARD - Claim/encounter has been forwarded to entity. - Responsible Party
• FORWARDED TO MONTEFIORE.

This issue began on 04/01/2013 and we are currently working with HIP of Greater NY to correct this issue. Claims will not need to be resubmitted, as these invalid messages may be disregarded. Additional updates will be provided as information comes available.
