Cigna Healthcare has reported the following issue:
Cigna Healthcare is currently experiencing an issue with claim rejections related to the National Provider Identifier (NPI) submitted on 276 transactions. These rejections are creating a status code of "D0:562:1P" in the STC01 segment. The payer is working on a resolution and expects to resolve the issue at some point after the first of the new year.
If you receive this rejection, please try resubmitting your claim transaction with the Tax Identification Number (TIN) instead of the NPI in order to receive a successful claim status response.
